Anthony Bourdain. Tony. An icon and food legend. A man who could be crass and mild-mannered and kind all at the same time. Complex, compassionate, and who’s view of, and trips around, the world shaped so many opinions and touched so many lives. This book was both charming and discomforting, and at times, as anyone who is familiar with Tony’s work, problematic. Not problematic in the way he viewed or treated the people & places hosting him, but more along the lines of lacking political correctness or making visible his antifatness. Regardless, this book was overall a joy and being back in Tony’s head, hearing his voice again, was an absolute treat.
