This book positively surprised me. I definitely wasn’t expecting it to be so steamy based on the cover loll.
I really loved all the characters in this book. It took me a while to warm up to Clara (girl FORGET Everett) but I grew to love her as she grew more confident and independent.
I think the way the author uses this book as a criticism of corruption in the porn industry is super interesting because I wasn’t expecting to see such topics in a romance novel. Imo the author did a great job - I really felt her passion on the matter.

Overall I would’ve preferred for them not to spend so long doing the ‘oh I’m gonna try to ignore my feelings bc they don’t feel the same way’ bc spoiler alert: THEY DO but they got over it eventually lol. Great chemistry between the characters and I loved the dual pov :)

This was such a fun adult romance that I wish I'd read it sooner. Clara is a shy socialite who just got her PhD and Josh is a charismatic sex worker and they're thrown together when Clara takes the spare room in Josh's apartment, think that she's going to be living with her long-term crush Everett. But Everett is moving out as Clara is moving in, leaving her with Josh.

I enjoyed the opposites attract dynamic here and the slow-burn build-up was so satisfying. Also really liked the focus on dismantling the stigma surrounding sex and sex work and how sex-positive the whole book was. I think the third-act conflict was a little wooly and was then resolved very quickly, but on the whole this was a funny, entertaining read.

the perfect lighthearted, funny feel-good-romance with just the right amount of miscommunication, drama and a lot of amazing spice! i fell for this book within the first few pages and loved josh from the first second he appeared. he is an amazingly crafted character and really the perfect book boyfriend. the chemistry between him and clara was extraordinary and i love how they challenged each other throughout the story and helped each other grow. i also really liked and appreciated that it is so immensely sex-positive and discusses the issues sexworkers have to deal with in the industry - the author did a great job here! i felt the ending was a little too abrupt and i'm not entirely happy with the epilogue but all in all, i loved this book a lot and definitely recommend reading it.

I knew a few pages in I’d love this one. I picked it up without even reading the description because I wanted an easy romance, and I think going in blind was the right decision. I got to experience all the surprise and complicated emotions as the characters did without the subtle spoilers in the description. I ended up liking Clara a lot more than I did at the beginning, and I loved Josh’s character. This book was super fast paced and easy to read.

It's a cute lil romance book. It didn't really make me feel any strong emotions either way but it was cute to read. Josh is THE book boyfriend. I do think the author relied a little too heavily on the miscommunication trope.
