“Sex in public is as good as I thought it was going to be but the aftermath is decidingly less glamorous.”

Yep. That quote did indeed Sun it up for me. Lol

I started off intrigued. Then got excited and some of the scenes or where it was gonna go… but then it was just blah. I also thought the pacing was interesting. Did I know this was going to end in a 2000’s rom com ending… no I did not.

The whole storyline, uhm wasn’t bad but the book is what it is a slightly spicy rom com type of bit. Don’t go in expecting anything other than that. The ending is probably the spiciest. Appreciate the safe sex, consent conversations that put male character had during scenes.

A socialite and a porn B rated porn star become roommates through a mutual. She finds out what his job is and decides to watch his videos and pleasure herself. To which he walks in on her!! The middle is a crap ton of dry humping as she becomes his silent partner in a female pleasured centered website. THENNNNN THEY FALL IN LOVE! 😐 Finally at what I thought was the end they get it on an poppin in a stairwell. Only for me to sit through two more chapters.

I dragged through the end but I finished it. A good entry into spicy if you haven’t tried it. There is a lack of diversity sooooo don’t think there is going to be that. It could have ended for me in Chapter 36. 🥴 I mean I get it but nahhh it coulda ended.

I am also seeing just now this is a series. Uhm 😐 it’s giving 50 shades. Then ending also has a “2 years later.” I could have done without.

All in all 3 stars baby

Sexy, witty, and down right adorable. I loved Clara and Josh’s relationship, and their individual stories. This was duel-perspective, thankfully. Best part, they actually communicate…I know, shocking. No romance writer would ever but Rosie Danan did!!

This was such a fun adult romance that I wish I'd read it sooner. Clara is a shy socialite who just got her PhD and Josh is a charismatic sex worker and they're thrown together when Clara takes the spare room in Josh's apartment, think that she's going to be living with her long-term crush Everett. But Everett is moving out as Clara is moving in, leaving her with Josh.

I enjoyed the opposites attract dynamic here and the slow-burn build-up was so satisfying. Also really liked the focus on dismantling the stigma surrounding sex and sex work and how sex-positive the whole book was. I think the third-act conflict was a little wooly and was then resolved very quickly, but on the whole this was a funny, entertaining read.
