Sexy, witty, and down right adorable. I loved Clara and Josh’s relationship, and their individual stories. This was duel-perspective, thankfully. Best part, they actually communicate…I know, shocking. No romance writer would ever but Rosie Danan did!!

This was such a fun adult romance that I wish I'd read it sooner. Clara is a shy socialite who just got her PhD and Josh is a charismatic sex worker and they're thrown together when Clara takes the spare room in Josh's apartment, think that she's going to be living with her long-term crush Everett. But Everett is moving out as Clara is moving in, leaving her with Josh.
I enjoyed the opposites attract dynamic here and the slow-burn build-up was so satisfying. Also really liked the focus on dismantling the stigma surrounding sex and sex work and how sex-positive the whole book was. I think the third-act conflict was a little wooly and was then resolved very quickly, but on the whole this was a funny, entertaining read.

I liked the idea of this book, the execution just wasn't it for me. I felt like there was forced chemistry there. In the beginning there was no swoon, no comedy and nothing interesting about the characters. The most interesting part of this was Josh being a porn star and honestly that wasn't all that interesting, it didn't really add angst like I was hoping it would. Overall its a good book if you're into Give it a try if you like: forced proximity, shy girl + experienced guy, sex positivity.

cute and a little spicy :) i enjoyed reading the book, though it was nothing special... what i really liked however, was the portrayal of sex work and adult performers as actual multi-facetted human beings; the book challenged a lot of the bias against sex workers and talked about different issues within the industry - according to the acknowledgments at the end of the book the author also had someone with first hand experience in the field advising her in the writing process, which i appreciate :)

Decent writing and interesting premise! This is a very sex positive book with sex as a main theme. While this book is not for me, I do think it could be enjoyable for someone else! The 44% that I listened to was enjoyable, but I just have some personal qualms with some things. But this DNF isn’t because it’s not written well enough, it’s purely for content reasons.
