Holy Sheep Dip Batman!
This one is awesome, a keep turning the page cause you have to find out what the heck is going on.
Twists, turns and what the heck! all over this story.
Great read.

It is a little unsettling when the author in the introduction suggests "if this is the first book of mine you're going to try, stop now. Return it. Grab another." Too late I've already bought it! This is the author's first book and he worries it will come over as a little immature. Okay, so the heroine is a beautiful ex-model, who has started a hugely successful fashion range and she was honeymooning in Australia with her basketball superstar husband, when he disappeared. We need to stretch our incredulity a little to go along with the heroine, but if we do we are treated to a page turning read to find out why her husband disappeared, apparently drowned, the key to the mystery lies deep in the past before the heroine was even born. A past resurfacing and threatening to make our glamourous heroine disappear, too.

Listening to this book on CD. So far it's pretty good, but you can definitely tell it's one of
Coben's earlier works.

This is one of the best Coben books I have read; while all of his books I found to be easy to read in a day because of the constant surprises and suspense that make you say to yourself "okay, one more chapter" over and over, this one actually was more realistic than most of his books-----some of his others involved Bruce Willis-type-movie escapes every other page that left me slightly annoyed because it just kept me from taking the book as seriously as I would have liked to. But as far as this book, all in all, I really, really enjoyed this one.

The author notes that this was one of his early books and would not write like that again. I found the writing overly descriptive and off-putting, especially when describing the women.
