def would give 3.5 stars if i could but i was a little let down by this book, the pacing was definitely a little slow for me but it was still good and i loved leo and all the fight scenes and im very excited to see the next chapter on son of neptune with percy because that ending def set smth juicy up!

One would definitely need to read the Percy Jackson series before starting this or the other books. With that being said... I loved this book. I think Riordan rights these books with no just the quest and story in mind but also teaching young children a lot about mythology. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!

The middle was way too long and boring. Riordan uses too many bland jokes. The ending was much more detailed and satisfying.

I loved this book, but I wasn't as in love with it as I was the original PJO books, but if this were an actual rating it would have a 4.5 out of 5. I'll admit, I need to get into the swing of new characters. Jason was hard to like just because you know nothing about him. Piper is hard to like too because she's SO pretty and her dad is SO famous but hates that she's so pretty and famous. Your life is so hard. Give me a break. I like Leo, but he's made so much into the wacky side kick. Poor kid. Never taken seriously.

We'll see, these new kids will probably grow on me. They usually do.
