I enjoyed the next book in the Jane Jameson series it had the same good humour as the previous books in the series and was a funny listen. This time Jane, has boyfriend troubles, opens a new bookstore for undead and gets a mean stalker who is after Gabriel. I really enjoyed the audiobook of this story and found that Jane Jameson and her friends to life. Once again I can recommend this amazing author and the audiobook version as it will leave a smile on your face. x

This series is kind of the poor cousin of the Sookie Stackhouse books. Nonetheless, they are very cute, and they take place in rural Kentucky, which makes them feel at home to me. :)

Another very good installment from Molly Harper's "Nice Girls Don't..." series. An intelligent and witty book about vampires, ghouls, werewolves, ghosts and maybe even witches. Never thought I'd be describing a book about vampires as intelligent and witty.

OK great laughs and characters. Very slapstick type fun. The world and characters are great and make this worth reading. The "intrigue" fell flat for me. There was the twist
Spoiler that the teenager was Jeanine.
that I didn't see but mainly the big secret of Gabriel was... just not.
Spoiler Changed a crazy woman and she torments him. Hmm... you cannot tell Jane about this? You end up ignoring her and making her feel like crap for what?.... pride?
So Gabriel making Jane feel and question him for this idiotic secret just killed the main storyline for me.

Let me tell ya, the beginning of this book had me really pissed. I could not believe Gabriel. Dick needed to make an overseas trip and kick some butt. I am very thankful for Jane's friends though. They come up with a lot of great plans to help Jane move on and get her goals in order. Dick, Andrea, Zeb and Jeanine are great support and their antics will leave you laughing out loud.

As usual, things can not stay on track and calm in Jane's life. The stalking letters surprised me. I would have thought the stalker driving Jane back to Half Moon Hollow would have been put a stop to all the crazy letters. Instead it seems to escalate them. I was really puzzled.

Once again, Jane and gang give you a fun ride with some LOL moments that keep you coming back again and again to this series. This installment held a bit more intensity and action to it than the others, but the fun still comes out. Don't mess with Jane and her friends. It probably won't turn out good for you!

4.25 Stars. Continuing on my FMLA bender, I am finding this series hilariously charming. This one might be my favorite-but I still stand by my 'you must read this in order' label. These are too much fun and book 3 in particular has some really great juicy bits now that we're getting into the nitty gritty with characters and all of their relationships.

Molly Harper's Jane Jameson is absolutely adorable--snark and sass and all things nice. She starts off the book by breaking things off with Gabriel. Or did she? She's not sure. To occupy herself instead of moping about, she focuses on re-opening the bookstore she inherited from Mr. Wainwright and joins Half-Moon Hollow's Chamber of Commerce, where she gets roped in by blonde-cheerleader-from-hell-turned-chamber-president to get donations for their charity event. Jane's already regretting signing up when Mr. Wainwright's nephew shows up and generally annoys the heck out of everyone.

Then weird things start happening--threatening letters, exploding deliveries, vandalism, and Jane thinks someone is trying to kill her. Who could it be? And why? After all, snark never hurt anybody... But then Andrea is kidnapped. And Jane finds herself smack dab in the middle of drama from Gabriel's past.

Nice Girls Don't Live Forever had me totally laughing out loud, and yes, I snorted. My favorite passage has to be when the front of Jane's house is smeared with durian, and she spends the day wondering what the stench is coming from. Followed really quickly by Zeb's explanation that people have been killed by ripe durians falling on them. Yep, felled by a fruit.

**going off on a tangent... I used to say that when the Portugese swung by the Sultanate of Malacca back in the 1400s, instead of using the traditional keris to fight the cannons and guns, the locals should have lobbed durians with catapults at the Portugese ships... Who knows, they might've driven them off instead of being colonized! Yes, the fruit smells that bad. But it's oh so yummy!! **done with tangent

Anyway. Back on topic. If you haven't read Molly Harper, you should. If your preference is not of the fanged variety, try her chick-lit. If it is of the fanged variety, pick this up (start with #1, Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs).

Another fun installment in the series. If I ever become a vampire I want to be just like Jane.
