Multiple POV books are so hit or miss for me. Unfortunately, I hated 4/6 of the main characters/povs so this was a tough read for me. The other 2 povs saved this from being 1 star for me. The plot was mediocre to me and very predictable. This book was fine. I just struggled with most of the characters.

What a strong debut novel! There were times when it felt like Harry Potter but dark and with a bigger sprinkle of romance throughout. Especially reminiscent of the Goblet of Fire book. I actually liked the high number of POVs it made you care a little more about each character, well at least about what little we info we had on them. The world felt like it needed more fleshing out as it was a little all over the place without giving the reader any information. I am not usually one to say this but it may have needed some better surprise deaths. Very much still looking forward to the next book!
I really only cared about Wren and August. I don’t think I’ll remember all the details when the second book comes out. But I did enjoy it, I always like a school vibe
