“In my fantasies, you allow me to keep an eye on you.” I feel his lips at my temple. “And when I really let go, I imagine that you let me take care of you, too.”

- Rating: 4.2/5.0

“I want you, Elsie. All the time. I think of you. All. The. Fucking. Time. I’m distracted. I’m shit at work. And my first instinct, the very first time I saw you, was to run away. Because I knew that if we’d start doing this, we would never stop. And that’s exactly how it is. There is no universe in which I’m going to let you go. I want to be with you, on you, every second of every day. I think – I dream of crazy things. I want you to marry me tomorrow so you can go on my health insurance. I want to lock you in my room for a couple of weeks. I want to buy groceries based on what you like. I want to play it cool, like I’m attracted to you and not obsessed out of my mind, but that’s not where I’m at. Not at all. And I need you to keep us in check. I need you to pace us, because wherever it is that we’re going… I’m here. I’m already right here.”

3.5* in my quest to find a 5 stars romance/romcom. the plot lines were a bit too tangled for me and i could NOT stand reading another description of how tALL and gIGANTIC jack was. but it was fun and kept me entertained for a while which is all i can hope for in a romcom

I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway so thank you to them. I really enjoyed this book, but why on earth did it take so long for them to kiss oh my god, I am was almost done the book and hoping they would kiss by the end but oh my god did it take forever. I get the idea is supposed to be a slow burn, but I think it slowed burned a little too much. I've heard that a lot of her books are similar in story line, but I am still intrigued to read more of her books. Elise growth throughout the book was excellent. I love a man that falls hard for the women. Also the women narrating this audiobook was awesome I loved her, the way she said certain lines in the book were so funny, she is honestly one of the better people I've listened to on Libby. I did use the physical book but I also listened to the audiobook. Hopefully I can read more from her in the new year.

This was the cutest and smartest relationship, and the characters had me giggling the entire read. Finally a book where the smart girl wins! I truly enjoyed the banter between the characters and learning about the world of academia. I can't wait to read again.
