Though the climax felt rushed, I still loved this edition of the series. Mitchell and Alice went through so much and their connection was both beautiful and hot as hell. I’m satisfied with the conclusion of the series, though I’m dying for more books in this world so I’ll be jumping right into Stone’s story.

Gah after the way book 4 ended i knew i had to jump straight into this one!
Mitchell and Alice are a serious power couple and i was so worried how this was going to pan out but I'm so happy how it was handled!
Alice was so strong and she didn't just roll over and show her belly she really told Mitchell that she felt betrayed.
This whole series has been absolutely addictive and i have loved them all so much and how how the story arc has been since book one!
I can't wait to dive into the spin off series!

Awake at Last by Anna Fury is a dystopian omegaverse romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Thomas Locklear and Avery Reid. This is the fifth and final book in the Alpha Compound series.

I really enjoyed the relationship between Alice and Mitchell. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Thomas and Avery did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for a dystopian romance, shifter romance, omegaverse romance, or romantic suspense.

This one took me the longest to read out of the entire series and that’s mainly because I didn’t like Mitchell at all. I liked Alice but there was always something off to me about Mitchell.

I predicted in my review of one of the other books early on that Mitchell and Robert were working with the task force, and I think this is why Mitchell gave me the ick constantly.

Every time I got to his chapters I didn’t actually want to read them, honestly even Alice’s chapters where she was with Mitchell annoyed me.

The only reason this book gets more than 2* for me is the omegas and their new powers and for Stone and his ex-pack/new pack. Stone was the stand out character for me in this book and I can’t wait to read his book in the spin off series.

I’m sad we didn’t see any of the actual sexual encounters between Mitchell, Alice and Stone as it was mentioned and there was clearly a lot of flirting going on for Stone and Alice and we had that sneak peek in the car but it’s literally in the last chapter from stones POV that we find out they have gotten together a few times and it’s just mentioned in passing. What was the point of having the sexual tension between Stone and Alice throughout the book, then have the little play in the car, then having an entire bloody conversation about it and then not actually showing us. So disappointed.

We find out about Mel and Orion having a baby but we don’t see anything else about it. Obviously if they are still around the ranch for the spin off we will see it but it seems that they will be moving to their own new compound in Canada so we might not see what happens with them.

I’m happy to read more about stones spin off as I loved stone and Asher in this book.

I was so much more invested in the side characters than the two main ones. I feel so disappointed that this was the end of the series as it brought everything down for me what had been built between everyone in the previous books. If it was me writing I would have written Mitchell off as dead and had stone and Alice get together as second chance mates and stone could take over both packs, then we could see how the girls fare with their powers, see the baby being born etc. we may still see this but it will just be in passing as it’s a new branch for a completely different pack.

Ahh at last we have Malice!!

I have been waiting for their story since the first book. Then throughout the others you see them fall apart in the background. Struggling to figure out what is wrong with their bond. But he knows and he kept it from her...

I was so mad... I fell in love with Malice in book one and slowly got more and more annoyed with Michael throughout the other books... I was so happy that Alice stood her ground and didn't let him walk all over her. He put her through hell for months and all for what? The plot and character development was very well done. The spice was epic - my favourite scene was definitely the truck scene hehe....

I love how unique Anna's Omegaverse is. I absolutely cannot wait for Stone's book to come out.

Amazing conclusion to the series! It is bittersweet to say goodbye to these alphas and omegas we’ve come to know and love but I’m thrilled that there is spin-off series coming soon in the same world! I’m looking forward to Stone’s book so much! Back to Mitchell though, it was great to see how he worked to regain the trust of his omega and the rest of his pack and how they never really gave up on him. It really couldn’t have ended better ❤️
