Every time my anxiety is peaking I end up reading Emily Henry (not on purpose) but not gonna lie every time it’s so clarifying.

Should I have started this book while being on a break with my BF because of miscommunication? Probably not… did I learn it is not because I am not enough through this book? DEFINITELY!!

Heartbroken and heart warming at the same time. For me EH is a master in writing recognizable but also hopeful and though it was hard reading about this topic at this specific time I love the characters and all the realizations and coming clean.

I dnf’ed Book Lovers and didn’t really vibe with You and Me on Vacation so was very apprehensive about this.

I ended up actually really enjoying it and reading pretty much the full thing in a day or two. I loved Harriet and Wyn and the intricacies and depth of their relationship. I loved the conversations they were able to have.

I really hated Sabrina, Parth, Cleo and Kimmy though. Sabrina was selfish and brazen but Henry masked this over with kindness and compassion which I didn’t really like. Parth felt like a filler, after thought of a character. Cleo was irritating and Kimmy was just there. Really loved the general dynamic and history of their friendship but why they argued I have no idea. It was pathetic and I had to put the book down for a minute.

‘I think of the black hole documentary I watched with my dad a few years ago, how astrophysicists speculated that there were places in our universe where the rules of time and space inverted, moments becoming a place where you could stay indefinitely.’

This book was exactly what I hoped. Maine is my happy place so I loved reading this a dangerous amount. Got me A LITTLE NERVOUS THERE at the end but alls well that ends well.
