I have loved all of Oliver Phommavanh's other books, but this one just didn't grab me. The writing seems stilted and just not as funny as usual. Many of the stories lacked interest, although some (e.g. karaoke) were still excellent.
Hoping I find future books a return to form, as I have highly promoted them to my students in the past.
