this is five stars not because it's a perfect book but because it really sticks with you. i still can't stop thinking about it, even years after having read it. the povs were a bit unbalanced, yes, and i think the ending was too neat. but it was a heartbreaking and profound reading experience for me that was well worth the amount of time it took me to read it
