This is 100% my fault. I have a history of hating her main characters. BUT. I didn't hate Lizzie initially and I let that lull me into a false sense of security. Lizzie makes bad choices, James makes bad choices, Cara makes bad choices, they all deliberately keep making the worst possible choices in like every situation. The whole blow up was just too much. Weirdly I think there weren't enough apologies and those made were about the wrong things. I cleary just don't click with these kinds of books and that is on me.

Love at First Set is sapphic adult romance debut by Jennifer Dugan and this book was adorable. This has fun plot, Lizzie and Cara have great banter and chemistry, it was very easy to read.Definitely recommend if you love a good romcom!

Special thanks to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for sharing this ARC with me in exchange for an honest review,

A fun romance, that ultimately wasn't really was for. I'm looking forward to picking up the author's ya work!
Would still reccomend if you don't mind lust-based romance! Not that it's super smutty! Just how it feels to me!

the side characters suck. like I hope they get better and have character development but I am uninterested in suffering through them.

I accidentally reset the audiobook to the beginning and I didn’t care enough to find out where I had left off, which was a big clue to me on just not finishing it. The beginning was very funny and I enjoyed it by halfway 68% I just didn’t care.
