I LOVE the Red Rising series. In preparation for book #4, I reread books 1-3. By rule, I never reread books. It was so wonderful to savor these books all over again before diving into #4. That being said, I was not as enamored with this book as the previous ones. Basically, I didn't like the shifting viewpoints between characters and the character of Ephraim I didn't care for at all. The story line itself was good, and I understand the necessity for multiple POV as the vehicle for delivery but it wasn't my favorite. I am eagerly awaiting book #5 and am hoping desperately hoping for a quality TV adaptation!

Loved (the end of) this book! I love this series and this book is very different from the other red rising series. I’m going to continue with the series but it wasn’t as “omg I can’t put it down” as the previous few books
