Pretty good, an interesting story, but there were times when I felt like the character's voices were inauthentic, as if the author was just trying to move the story along and wasn't developing characters as much as I would have liked. Also, with a 100 year time difference being a major part of the plot, the way people spoke wasn't that different in each setting so that made it harder for me to envelop myself in the story. The storyline is good, though, and I like the idea of it all, the lore especially.

I LOVED this so much I read it in a single day. So good! A couple of times the dialog was stilted but it was delightful overall.

A solid 4.3 from me! Something about this book got me! There was such beauty and tragedy in this story. Whilst some of it was predictable and there were moments of silliness, I was still emotionally grasped by it, listening to the tale completely unfold, hearing different tales through time as well as the mythical and mysterious elements.

So so wonderful.

At times, this book dragged on and can feel predictable. About 80% of my predictions were true and only 20%. I didn’t see coming.
