Loved it. So easy to read and understand. No overbearing information about crazy dates ,and words I don't understand. Perfect. Already looking for a 2nd book by the author.

This could have been good and it was a quick read, but it really lacked excitement, good characters and good writing. All a bit silly really

I was a disappointed in this book, mainly because it's been sat on my shelves for such a long time, and every time I've looked at it, I've thought nothing but good things and kind of hyped it up in my own mind from the blurb. That was a big mistake.
I got lost in the cover and in my love of Ancient Egypt, while you do have the Egyptian themes through out, I felt like there was a lot of going backwards and forwards, the same things happening constantly throughout the novel which in my views could be taken out and the book make shorter without removing anything of importance.

There was a couple of times where I wanted to put the book down for good, and I even read a completely different book between the times it took to read this one. I do give the Author due and say that there was good points too, but mainly points that made it a chore to get through. I feel like I only really started to enjoy the book fully within the last couple of chapters.
