This book was everything I was hoping it would be and more! I absolutely loved going into the world of Gloria and finding out more about her. I loved Gloria and her passion especially for her family. I recommend this book to everyone. It was a real page turner of a book and had so many twists and turns that I had to keep reading on to find out what happened.

Gloria is a delightful anti-heroine - and I loved her.
The story of how she becomes a vigilante is a fabulous fantasy that is so easy to identify with - which of us hasn't yearned for revenge at some time? The pace is compelling and I couldn't stop reading. Every time you think things couldn't get worse, they do - the stakes get higher, and Gloria somehow ends up in more and more danger which she faces head-on.
Evan Baldock's background in the police force means this romp is solidly based in reality, which makes it easy to suspend disbelief for the space of the story. I was so worried for Gloria, I was at one point counting bullets...
The only thing I didn't want to believe in was Gloria's retirement from her retirement!
