A nice and light romance with funny and endearing characters but a little too "short" : I would have liked more dramas with the family and the ex and the "police investigation" at the end could have been much more developed over the book !
In short, a good read but nothing more ...

I am loving the How to Catch an Alpha series by Aurora Rose Reynolds! Hooking Him brings us Anna and Calvin. I loved these two characters. They seem pretty opposite at first glance but we quickly find out how much they are actually alike. I can't wait to read the next in this series!

I always download Aurora’s books once they are released. They are easy reads with insta love and alpha males. Look forward to more from her.

Good!

I think this was my favorite of the three in this series. Loved Calvin and Anna and all the secondary characters.

Love the cover....hawt! Hooking him was a cute romance of one girls search for real happiness! The local police officer Calvin catches Anna’s eye and although she’s determined not to fall at first... eventually they both succumb.

What did I like? Easy peasy romance. The golden girls were so much fun, I hope I have half as much fun as them when I’m older! Anna tried not to fall for the local law enforcement officer Calvin but the pull is too strong.

Would I recommend or buy? This was a fun romance with some fun drama. I’ve not read much by this author but I enjoyed the read. Four stars. I would definitely read more from this author!

Leaving her life behind in Chicago, Anna leaves it all behind to move to South Carolina for a fresh start. She works at a bakery that she loves and made a quick friend in her boss Chrissie who also owns the Sweet Shop. Edie who is part land lord part friend has been quick to include Anna as much as she can so that she feels like she has a family here. What Anna didn't expect is the run in with the very handsome detective who pulled Edie over one night and then all that came of that one interaction.

"Laughter is the best medicine."

Thought this was a really cute read. Not her strongest series but it'll help any romance reader get out of a reading slump.

Hooking Him, hooked me from the very first page, thanks in part to three golden girls who were a complete riot every time they appeared. But also because this story was so charming, and entertaining to read, even with the little touch of added drama thanks to Calvin's job. Yet, it wasn't overly dramatic or full of angst and I really liked that plus I really enjoyed the romance that developed between Calvin and Anna, as it just felt natural and easy.

And even though this is the third book in the How to Catch an Alpha series it can easily be read as a standalone, and for me it's definitely the best one; and my favourite Aurora Rose Reynolds book to date.

Would happily recommend.

Hooking Him is the third book in the How to Catch an Alpha series. I read the first two and loved them. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. This is the final book in the series, and I'm going to be sad to see the characters go! This book could be read as a stand a lone. You get a glimpse to the characters from the other book, but this story lays out all the details you need for this book. This book is told from duel points of view however most of the book is told from the female's point of view.

This story is between Anna and Calvin. Anna called off her marriage from a guy she had been with for 5 years. She wasn't in love with him and was just marrying him to make her family happy by his status. She moved away and her family pretty much disowned her. She wants to find her happy. She works at a bakery and lives in a little apartment above an older lady.

Calvin is a detective going through his own falling out from the woman he thought he loved. She left him, and he has a hard time trusting women now. He meets Anna when he pulls over her landlord. He wasn't very nice to her, when she was trying to help. When he goes to apologize he realizes he has feelings for her. Anna starts to have feelings for him too.

The newspaper reporter publishes that Anna is from money and left her fiancée, and it has everyone in town wanting to get her autograph. It also brings her fiancée back into the picture. Calvin is dealing with unsolved murders. Can they handle the media from Anna's past? Can Calvin solve the murders before it's to late?

I really liked this book, as well as all the others in the series. I can't wait to read more books by this author.
