This one was cute, you know, bettering yourself and shit. And the middle school lovers? I relate. But idk. It felt like such a new relationship, it didn’t feel like they had known each other for 10+ years.

I don't know if I just wasn't in the right mood for this but this one just didn't do it for me like Elle Kennedy's books usually do.

I still like the small town vibes and there were some cute moments, but the tension between Gen and Evan felt a but forced and I could not stand the bitchy girl group.

I may still try the last book in the series to finish it out and hopefully that one lands better.

Rather than a story that’s got defined plot points, this felt more character arc centered. It was a character journey of self improvement and self awareness. The writing was steady, if a little slow- nothing super adventurous and no plot twists.
Things I wish we saw more of!!
-I love the sibling representation, I loved see Gen interact with her family, and I wish we saw more of that. I think we Sam Evan interact with them more than Gen did
- The Big Brother program! The relationship that Riley and Evan built was so cute! I wish we saw more development of Riley gaining more confidence, and Evan becoming less reckless
