This is a nonfiction book about the American Dust Bowl and that area and time.  I have never read a nonfiction book about the Dust Bowl, so this book was very interesting to me.  I didn't know the history of the people that moved there and I really didn't know too much about the causes of the dust bowl.  It was a fascinating read and I learned some new history about the US.  Timothy Egan is a really good storyteller and the book wasn't dry at all.
