I finished this book in a single day and it has rendered me speechless. It clearly lays out many of the horrors and atrocities of the holocaust and really makes you think about what people had to go through during this time. I was gripped from start to finish and can't wait to read more of Heather Morris' works

The story was interesting and it was impactful to get a day-to-day account of what people in the camps had to go through. I just wasn’t a fan of the writing style, which felt very short and direct. The author did mention she intended for this to be a screenplay originally so that could be why.

Overall, still an extremely important book to read to know and understand the horrors that people faced.

This book was hard to read. It is about such an important but difficult topic. The fact that it is based on true events and that people got treated this was is absolutely heartbreakingly tragic. I feel that everyone should read this book. The romance portion was beautiful. And I’m extremely happy with the ending and that it didn’t go the other way.
