My favourite out of all three books of the Lord of the rings series (though The Hobbit will forever be my all times fav). The action was plenty and the speeches less (fortunately). Although, it still was a struggle to finish. Still, it is a must for fantasy lovers.

It was just...so...slow. I kept putting off listening to it because it felt like it dragged on for too long. I still love the world and the characters, but oof, that was a heavy text to wade through. Andy Serkis, of course, gave an incredible performance yet again.

What is there to say about this book that hasn't already been said? I first read this book years ago, I loved it then and I love it now.

Faramir, the movies did you so dirty and they can pry you from my cold, dead hands.
