I had to stop when she said the scientists were feminists but that didn’t mean they believed in the diminishment of one gender, they believed in equality of the genders. Yes? That’s what feminism is? The implication that feminism typically is the diminishment of the male gender is odd.

I loved this book, particularly the conclusion where Cooke talked about biases in science. I loved learning about the matrilineal animal societies and the fluidity of sex in the animal kingdom. Will definitely read again.
