More Mafia type plot than fantasy, and honestly I should've expected that from the title. I called the ending from the get go. 😐

I enjoyed this book. There were a few scenes that I wish had a bit more development to them. To me, Sierra felt a bit too shallow, and I wish that the reader could see a different side of her.

An FMC makes a bargain with our fae MMC to save her brother and we get to watch her fall for him.  It's a basic premise but executed well.  Set in New Orleans I kinda figured they'd play that up more, but it doesn't really make a difference. 

The characters are fun, the subtle intrigue plays well, the tension is palpable.  It isn't a groundbreaking story but everything just flows nicely.  It's a solid story and the cliffhanger sinks it's claws in enough to happily keep reading the next book.
