If you’re thinking fantasy is a smidge too intense of a genre for you with the complexities of the world building, this book is basically a stepping stone. It’s like a little magic, a little political conversation, but much more focused on the character side of things. This was good, though! Not great, but I liked the slow burn aspect??

The slow burn is very good but I need a little more of the world building.
