LOVE 🧚💕🌙🖤 Do you have a thing for fae, different fae courts, enemies to lovers and a slow burn that burns so good? Read this. It’sin modern day but has the dark haired, tattooed shadow daddy we all yearn for. I purposely waited to read this so I’m closer to the 2nd book (comes out May 22nd) because it ends on a BIG cliffhanger. If you love fae, wouldn’t mind a modern world version and love ACOTAR fae court feels - this is for you!

(1⭐️/1🌶)

If I wasn't addicted to audiobooks, I wouldn't have finished it, but I had nothing else to listen to. This book is not spicy enough to make up for how basic, boring, and predictable the plot is.

The term "Sexy magic" makes my skin crawl, Nipping = ACOTAR, and Princess = From Blood And Ash. It's Chapter 16 and I thought to myself "What was the FMCs name again?" Oh right, it's set in New Orleans! I keep forgetting until they mention the city name. Too bad I chose it because it was set there and it had zero sense of a city that usually is a character of its own. Also, everyone knows New Orleans belongs to Vampires, not Fae.

I am so angry about the cliffhanger ending because even though I can guess exactly what happens next, I feel like this whole book wasted my time.

I honestly enjoyed reading this book. I loved the mix of fae and mafia vibes. I think there could have been more character development as they kinda felt flat for me, but I’m hoping the next book gives us more depth to the characters.

For anyone who is interested in reading, just know this does end in a cliffhanger.
