There are long passages that I didn’t care for but overall an intriguing read. Knausgård’s style is fascinating even when the story is mundane, much like his autobiography.

this was my first knausgaard novel and it definitely piqued my interest. the story was ominous, layered, and eerie, with detailed prose that i enjoyed. the ending was confusing and some chapters were a bit opaque, but i’m looking forward to the english translation of the sequel!
