Wells saves puppies from puppy mills???? He’s my favorite out of the men in this book. Hands down. He has officially stolen my heart first out of the four men. The spice was amazing. I loved every scene with Lennon, Wells, and Ronan. Chef’s kiss.

The whole disciplinary camp is crazy, and I seriously can’t believe that those things exist. I’ve been seeing more and more about that lately, so it was interesting to read about it here. It’s good that this book shined a light on that issue.

I also drove myself crazy trying to figure things out in the book. Who kidnapped Cassie? Did we really care that Cassie got kidnapped? (Okay fine, that’s rude of me, but Cassie is a mean girl. She needs that scarred straight program.) Who blackmailed Lennon and why? What the absolute eff is Abel’s deal? SO MANY QUESTIONS. Some were answered. Some weren’t. And then the ending just gave me more questions. I am so ready for the next book holy crap. I need Lennon to crack Abel’s jagged exterior (but damn do I love the tension)

This one is a little better since most of the guys came through and that there is finally some ot going on. The plot twists keep coming which is what is saving this book. The ending is expected
that Lennon's father is alive

I will never get enough of these characters. It had been a hot minute since I read the first book, and I thought I would forget what was going on, but I didn't, and the writing just flowed, like no time had passed. The plot thickens, and the characters continue to develop, the pace is perfect for keeping you sucked into the book. The interaction of the characters, and the development of relationships is key. It's not a lets all fall in bed together, and I like that. The urge to plow through the book was strong, but I also wanted to go slow and soak it all in. I think this is going to be one of my favorite series to date.

i’m not even sure what to say. as soon as any of the guys show her attention it’s almost like she melts. that pisses me off. the guys have done horrible things to her and even one of them still thinks she lied even after she told him the truth. the fmc needed to make the guys work for it. (i was really wanting to see heavy groveling going on) but that didn’t happen.

safety for this book ( continuation of my review of book 1)

We find out Abel lied about Naomi being his girlfriend.
Flashback scene to when all the guys were forced to fuck an older woman after they got out of solitary.
Comment made about how one of the mmc’s has fucked many girls (after the fmc slept with him for the first time, Abel says this and makes sure she knows it didn’t mean anything to the other mmc since he had a revolving door of girls and they have so much more skill than her)
When they escape the camp, West is the last person to fuck someone out of the 4 of them. He mentions he fucks girls a lot and he becomes numb to it and pictures the fmc while he’s fucking them.

honestly as someone who’s a lover a dual virgin, i’m having a very hard time getting through this series. i don’t care if the fmc is a virgin but for me the hero’s have to be. i can’t stand mentions of them being manwhores and quite frankly i’m tired of hearing this multiple times throughout the book. can more authors please write a why choose romance with all virgin heros. is that so hard to ask for?

Abel is still not so easily won over by Lennon's claims of innocent as the others are. Even Bishop, who was firmly on Abel's side is starting to waffle and believe Lennon as an innocent bystander in everything. Now with someone else sneaking around their backyard taking incriminating pictures and offering them up for ransom, Lennon must lean on the unsteady companionship of her old friends and new love interests. But there seems to be more than just this new, fumbling enemy lurking in the shadows and Lennon will come face to face with the evil she thought was long buried.

Abel is absolutely cutthroat with the things he says and does. It's clear that he wants Lennon just as much as the other boys but for some reason he just will not let himself believe that they tormented and hated her all these years for nothing. With the true test of her loyalty on the horizon Abel starts to flounder a bit in his unwavering surety that Lennon is an enemy. The cliffhanger the book opened on made it seem like Abel was going to frame Lennon for Cassie's kidnapping and perhaps he considered it. Abel is the one guy I don't know whether I want to redeem himself. I kind of would like to see Lennon make him suffer a little bit. It's the least he deserves.

Bishop has finally seen the light even if he does still try to keep Lennon at arm's length which hurts her beyond belief. I felt my chest getting tight a few times when she looked at him with nothing but devotion and he seemed conflicted. I had no idea what he was so standoff-ish. Because he's her teacher? He is only a few years older than her. It's not that taboo! C'mon, Bishop! I have faith in you, man! You're still my favorite even if you're a bit of an asshole.

Lennon continues to be this absolute angel of a girl. She is so forgiving and so understanding that I just want to pinch her cheeks and wrap her in cotton so she doesn't break. Especially when the boys (ahem, Abel) are being more jerky than normal. I love discovering new facets of Lennon and also seeing how truly huge her heart is. Most girls would make these boys pay through the nose for the fact that they stole her family's money, bullied her, and then tried to forget her. But no, they try to pay her back and she gives the money back. Girl, I have never liked a female protagonist more!

The twists and turns don't stop! They just keep getting deeper. Just when you think you know the truth, nope, there is more. Who is the bad guy? Who is the good? Who deserves to pay? Who should be cut some slack? There are so many players on this board and I can't seem to see three moves ahead like I usually can. This is such a delightful series and I can't wait to dive into the final book!

This book was such a ride. Honestly, it's been so long since I read traitor that I thought I might have to go back and reread it, but the book flows so smoothly that I began to remember everything that I previously read. While I loved the story for the most part and absolutely cannot wait for the next book, it's a little strange remembering that these are high school kids, especially after having read college/adult books for so long. I tend to forget how young they are every so often, especially considering all the things they've been through and done in the book.

We continue where the last book left off with Lennon and the Valient still somewhat at odds with one another but living and being together despite it and having their relationships, both romantic and otherwise, develop because of it. There's a clear tension between all of them, especially as the story progresses, but there's no denying that, while the past still haunts them, they all feel affection for one another. In Thief, we see a bit more of what the five had to go through at Camp Capitree and how it irreversibly changed them into the people they are now. We also see tension brewing between the other side characters and the main characters and I only wonder what could be. I loved the journey and seeing all five of them interact, and I only hope that they have the happy-ever-after they deserve. The twist at the end had me gasping and I can't wait to see how their story ends in Lover.

Arc received in exchange for an honest review.
