Very funny and also surprisingly full of heart. This has definitely been my favorite (and likely most memorable) read from Matt Haig.

I enjoyed many aspects of this book namely the characters, some of the philosophical ideas and the very funny beginning. What I did not like as much was the plot and the ending. I really wished the author would just have dropped the plot at some point and instead allowed an even deeper insight in their understanding of what being human is all about etc.

I think this might also be the reason why it took me forever to read this book - at times I got pretty frustrated and annoyed whenever the story veered from the protagonist learning to adapt to a human life towards the hosts and their attempt to interfere.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would definitely recommend it!
