Put me on trial for not reading this sooner. I love them so much I could not get through the last maybe 7% without crying??? This book is every reason I love romance books.

“I’ll keep you safe, too. And I’ll make sure you never doubt what you mean to me. I’ll tell you loud and often, as free as the wind on my skin, the sun and the stars lighting up the sky.”

And

“I will never let you doubt, Gavin Hayes, that no matter what life brings us, I love that you exist, in all the slim chances of time and space, that you are here, now, with me. I will spend as long as we have, so unbelievably thankful I found you.”

^ These really got to me.

Oliver and Gavin are just perfect. PERFECT.

It's pride month, so obviously we should be reading representative books, but also this book deserves to be read year round. If you liked Ted Lasso at all, this one is for you as well.

Anyways. These two are just perfect... have I said that yet? No? Ok one more time... Perfect. The way that they interact with each other, their banter, it all had me swooning. Oliver deserves the world with his optimism and happiness. Grumpy Gavin is out here deserving all the love with how he treats his old man poker group and what he does for children. The way that these two handle their emotions and didn't let drama unfold was just heartwarming. They knew their struggles and tried to understand the others. I could keep eating it up.

Also, I love the musical references. I died at the bed sheet debacle. I cried at the love confessions (and the family pictures scene).

Read this one.

I enjoyed this book, it’s been a long series and the last couple of books didn’t do too much for me but this one drew me back in. It was a great story and I’m very glad I stuck with the series.
