Even if I didn't like the story I'd give it 5 stars because I love Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd! They are so good! But, as it happens, I also loved the story!

Cute and funny. There was basically no plot and also only one sex scene because of how short this is.

4.5 stars - 5 stars for Kiven! I adored his character and my only complaint is I wish it was longer and we learned a bit more about Fran. The story could have a bit more action, but it was short and sweet and I was smiling the whole time.

I feel like these characters have a lot of potential and I'm glad the author is considering writing more for the corsair's crew.

Short, quick, fun, fated-mate, alien/human.  :)  That's really all you need to know.  Oh, and pirates! :)  I mean, that is what corsair means even though I didn't know that going in.  We meet a band of pirates who sees a human woman who's been purchased by someone and they rescue her.  Nice, clean, happily-ever-after. :)

Fair warning, I read this book before finishing all the books in the Ice Planet Barbarian series. That being said, this was a breath of fresh air and had a slightly different plot than Ruby Dixon’s usual blue barbarian storylines. I appreciated that the MMC was not a barbarian, but a suave and dapper pirate with gray morals.

Our hot blue alien, Kivian, starts off despising humans and cannot understand why his brother has decided to mate with one. However, when he runs into a captive Fran, he can immediately tell she is his mate and he slowly begins to understand why his brother made the choices he did to keep his own mate safe.

There is some spice towards the end of the novel and spur action that Ice Planet readers like me have come to love (iykyk). The romance is a slow burn, but the tension will keep you on the edge of your seat as you root for Fran and Kivian. I really loved the tenderness of this book and how there seemed to be more agency in this book than the Ice Planet books.
