This is an incredible and beautiful book but certainly not an escape from the real world. Haunting and good for people who are into

Sparse and beautiful prose. It was chilling at parts (like, I literally felt cold) and illuminated social issues with subtlety. At a couple points I felt like it dragged, but overall I really loved it.
