“I had no idea how much I’d subconsciously craved for someone to put my experience of my world in my time into print, to give my brief life here and now the sacred consecration of literature.“

i like how this book explores loneliness and the complexity of our relationship with parents. but i want more stories about his platonic relationship tho.

This book is a treasure. Gyu-ho is everything. That activist senior dude was nothing. In the scheme of everything, Jaehee wasn't that important either even though I thought she would be. This is really raw and I really loved it. However, I'm sure I haven't truly enjoyed it yet because to know what he's really talking about I would've had to love someone first. This book covers so many types of love like platonic love, toxic love, etc, truly awesome.

I'm not really sure whether I liked this book or not. On one hand, I liked the depiction of relationships in metropolitan city. It's realistic - how the landscape is bleak and people are pretty vague about their approach to relationships. There's also the drain one feels after corporate jobs and being unable to invest in love.
However, the writing style put me off for some reason. Wasn't really my cup of tea, I guess.
But I did read through the whole thing without boredom, so it wasn't that bad
