A much less grating story than some of the more recent installments. I enjoyed the attempts by Roderick to launch his band, even while the potty humor did not appeal to me.

Would it be too much if I asked for a GREG AND ROWLEY centred book taking place in school for once? (Seems like Greg hasn't been to school in ages.) The whole reason this series took off is because of the whole middle grade school ridiculousness of it. Whats the point of this book? Same with Big Shot. Still, rating this 3 stars for nostalgic purposes.

Greg usually pushes other people around and finds his way into crazy situations. However, in this book, he gets pushed around by his brother (which explains a lot about Greg) and gets roped into crazy situations. It was all about Rodrick so I didn’t like it much.

1.5 stars. Not very funny. And kind of boring.

Jon gives it 50 stars for the "Hippo Mobile"

The boy (7 years old) LOVED this. He was laughing out loud reading it and couldn't stop talking about it. It's the first he's read in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, but he's since been out and bought two more
