Not what I was thinking. Nope. I was ready for a forbidden step sibling love affair with maybe some blackmail and hate sex. This? No way. This was not what I was thinking.
Oh Dominic you tortured soul. Come here so I can hug you till you feel better. Even with the hate he had in his heart for Camryn, he was still my favorite.
Camryn on the other hand, no. She told half truths, did not care that Dom or her friends were spooked or worried about her, nor did she understand that her careless choices put everyone’s lives at risk. She is not a favorite of mine.
Along with that thought, her mother is crap. I said what I said.
Anyway, not sure why my brain was totally shocked, but the story in my head did not match up with the story coming off the pages. Not a bad thing, more of a delightfully creepy surprise. It left me rereading scenes, along with a chapter or two, to be sure what was read was actually what was read.
