What did I just read?! That is the first thing I say ever single time I finish one of Harleigh’s books. Not only did we get maximum spice, but a jammin’ plot as well! I like to pride myself in my ability to guess the twists and turns in a storyline but as per usual, Harleigh kept me guessing, surprising me more than I care to admit.
Camryn, her mother, and step-brother move to a decrepit house in the middle of nowhere due to the car accident killed his twin and father. The accident that Dominic blames Camryn for. To say the step-siblings are enemies would be putting it loosely, but there is a hot sexual tension blooming from the deep.
Weird things are happening to Camryn since they moved in. She is hearing whispers and seeing things. Not wanting anyone to think she is crazy, she keeps it close to the vest for now. When she finds out her house is the subject of an urban legend at school, she decided to have a seance with her friends. Breaking out the spirit board they attempt to communicate with whomever or whatever is in the house but they make a fatal mistake. One that may cost them their lives.
This book was hot, hot, hot!!! There was so much spicy spice I needed a cool rag to bring my temperature down! The plot was amazing with so many things I didn’t expect. I swear I gasped out loud at least 20 times. It also made me turn on the lights when I walked through any room at night. (Not today demon!!)
A fantastic read for any of those spooky babes out there!

This was the perfect mix of spice & plot - Harleighs books ALWAYS hit!! & I am always down to read a hate hookup to love romance trope between step siblings!
I also LOVE horror movies & being so scared that I want to sleep with the lights on - & that is quite literally why it took me longer to read this book. Because if I read this book, I would not be sleeping in the dark... it was creepy, evil & demonic & at times scared the shit out of me.
& again, like with her other books, the twist at the end was everything - & also nothing I expected.
If you are looking for a spicy, scary book that is a GOOD time... pick this one up. BUT DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!

This book felt so much like a campy/corny horror movie from 2003 that I almost imagined Paris Hilton as a character. Of course-it also had a lot of over the top smut that felt a little tried hard in its taboo-ness, but there’s a seance, a visit to an ASYLUM, and an M Night Shyamalan esque twist ending. What’s not to enjoy? Of course check trigger warnings.
