This is my idea of a perfect novel! I’m so sad it’s over. I love Zevin’s writing style! Will definitely be reading more from her.

The first third of the book is a decent 4 four stars, then it slips into 3 star territory, only to end in 2, no... wait 1 star! Such a disappointment! It started as a charming, cozy story, but it just unspools into a mess of random chapters. There's no depth or interiority whatsoever to these characters.

A book for book lovers. Impressed again by Zevin’s writing, and the shorter format felt well thought out, well paced, but not rushed. Charming, heartwarming, and wrapped up in a nice bow at the end. Solid read!
