I really enjoyed Season of Mists, where Lucifer decides he's done with Hell and moves on, leaving Sandman the key. It was clever and an overall fun read. A Game of You was my least favorite, but still interesting. It just took me so damn long to get through due to some parts that were just plain creepy.

The first volume left me skeptical about the series - gory, violent, sad - but I decided to try out one more volume. I enjoyed this set of stories far more than the first, especially with more and more mythology woven into the characters and nuances. The Endless have a much better sense of humor this time around, too, and the family dynamics are coming out.

"A Game of You" is one of my favorite Sandman stories. I'm not even sure why, but I love it.

This series is just one of the most amazing works I've read in my life. My boyfriend owns the entire series in single volumes somewhere - and we also have the two first volumes of Absolute Sandman which he gave to me before we moved in together. Spellbinding, magical, magnificent. I'll read the whole thing again someday.

Another great set of stories. I think I liked this even more than Vol. 1, if that's possible. Especially the story with Barbie, and probably others that I'm not remembering right now. Definitely reading more as soon as possible... Never want it to end! <3

Re-reading this collection was a joy. Although A Game Of You is one of my least favourite arcs, Seasons Of Mists is one of my favourite, and the short one-issue comics previously collected in Fables and Reflections are the absolute pleasures I remembered them being.

The collected, extra material is not really why I bought the edition, but is interesting enough.

I'm going to hold off buying parts 3 & 4 for a while, partially because you can have too much of a good thing, and partially because I don't want my house to be repossessed and to have to craft these wonderful editions into a makeshift shelter.

Digitaal, in hoge kwaliteit.

Mr. Gaiman, you wrote a damn fine comic here. Damn fine.

"A Game of You" is another precursor to the first graphic novel I fell in love with, 'Kingdom of the Wicked', and had some great characters. And "Season of Mists" you just have to read to believe. I said in my review for the 'Absolute Sandman, Vol. 1' that Gaiman creates his own mythology for 'Sandman', but that he does it on the grandest scale and in so few issues....

I stayed up late multiple nights to get through "just one more" and it was worth the foggy work mornings. The book ends unexpectedly because of the huge bonus sections of author bios and scripts, but the series still feels like it's on an upward trajectory.
