Really LOVED this book i've read it a couple times now..... and the prince. Swoon..... about to start the second book.
2.5 Stars.
T'was okay. This trope is not usually my cup of tea, and the whole royalty/celebrity aspect of it could have been done a little better. And the ending seemed rushed.

Evidently, I'm on a string of "Didn't Love It - Didn't Hate It" feels for books. This one was amongst them.
The characters were likeable and the plot was enjoyable.... it was just missing something and I'm honestly not sure what.
I guess I found the prince, Alex, to be a little on the "Gaston" type side. You know the type - the ones who think they know you when they definitely don't! BUT NOT ALWAYS and definitely not to the point where I didn't like him as a character or a dude. I guess no one is perfect though so I really can't say any of that is really a bad thing or a "book ruiner". And I agree with some of the other reviews; he was definitely a sexy book boyfriend.
I didn't find the story to have a huge amount of substance though and I had 10 pages left before I realized I was at the end of the book and that there wasn't going to be a real climax to the story. Just a story.
There was a hint of the "SURPRISE! I LOVE YOU" feel to it as well. I know they developed feelings for each other over time but everything just happened to feel super premature to me anyway- and I've read (and adored) books where the H&h fall in love over the course of a week. I guess that's the power of good and fast paced character development.
All in all, this book was okay. 3 stars

It was meh for me. Too much inner dialogue, not enough fun banter.
lighthearted
fast-paced

Meh.
There is too much teenager-ish innuendo coming from supposedly responsible 27 y.o. heir of the throne. Sam supposedly is a strong independent women, and the author tries very hard, probably too hard, to sell it, but I couldn't buy it. The plot is extremely predictable from the start, even with the drama with the end of the book. And seriously. That drama was touched only briefly and shallow it.
I cannot suspend my disbelief at all when reading this book. The only thing that amused me was the banter between Sam and Chad, and even those are very shallow.

There is no doubt in my mind this has been one of the best books i have read in a while the characters were not two dimensional thanks god and the banter was simply lovely.
I read it in a single read and am now very sad it over (which is why ill be reading it in a few)definite page turner.
did i mention that i love Alex
