i’m liking the humor a lot more. there are points where it kind of takes you out of the dramatics of the anime and luffy will make some deadpan comment that makes me genuinely laugh so hard. it’s growing on me for sure

Still feeling compelled by this series. Great characters (including newcomer Nami), great art that progressively gets better, and a great story that has some fun anime hooks with the powers of the gum gum fruit and ridiculous sword fights.

Still has some issues with the writing being super on the nose but it’ll either grow on me completely or get more interesting with time. Sticking with it either way!
