I'd never picked this one up before because I didn't realize it existed (if I had though I probably would have just assumed it was extra unimportant fluff), but you kinda have to read it before you read Heroes of Olympus. If you don't, the whole bit with Bob the Titan leaves you really confused until this puts it in perspective. As a whole though, the stories were cute.

If you're a huge Percy Jackson fan, you'll enjoy this little collection. The book contains three short stories set before the events in The Last Olympian. It also has some character interviews and pictures as well as a cross word puzzle and word search for younger fans.

The short stories are not stand outs, but nice little vignettes of three separate incidents. You won't be missing out on the larger story if you don't read them, but they are interesting and a nice interlude between books.

The Sword of Hades was my favourite story. I loved finally getting to know how they met Bob. And it was good to have Thalia back again! Beckendorf and Silena too

this was such a cute little addition to the percy jackson series and i thoroughly enjoyed reading it. it was refreshing in the sense that i knew all of them would make it out alive. great read.
