Honestly, this was more exciting than the last actual full-length book I read in this series

A nice addition for fans of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, although skipping the new material in this collection of short stories-slash-puzzlebook won't impact the reader's understanding of the series in any way. The Demigod Files contains three new short stories featuring Percy Jackson and his friends from Camp Half-Blood. The stories take place between books four and five. There's a few references to the events of these short adventures in Riordan's latest novel, The Son of Neptune, but it's not essential to the plot to have read this one beforehand.

There's also some word puzzles, character interviews and God profiles between the stories of The Demigod Files, which I'm sure would appeal to younger readers but to me they just seemed to be page fillers. Riordan's usual wit and charm is fully present in the stories though, which are well worth a read. And since it's so short, it's not too hard to find a cheap copy! 3.5 stars.

5 stars just because the interviews were so in character

what a cute little book

What a light and fun read! The short story with Bronze Dragon is pretty good, I almost believe Annabeth set it all up tho... or was she really?
The interviews are also well put and funny!

The short stories included in The Demigod Files were fun, but the interviews and other content was just okay.
