Apparently you need to read these short stories to know what's going on in the Heroes of Olympus series. After reading those and switching back to the first series with this book, it makes it even more obvious that Rick more or less forgot how to write Percy and Annabeth's characters by the second series. Now they're only obsessed with each other and Percy's dumber than ever. It was a nice break before I finish House of Hades.

Three fun little short stories. Percabeth runs stroooong in the Bronze Dragon (hi Festus!), Bob The Titan makes his appearance, and we finally get Thalia, Nico and Percy together.
Now I understand what happened to Iapetus/Bob. And it's good to read something that's narrated by Percy again, since Blood of Olympus doesn't even have his POV. RICK RIORDAN IM LOOKING AT YOU
