“Happiness - whether you’re experiencing it or creating it for others - is important. And happiness and comfort, it turns out, are not the same thing.”

This book is absolutely a Hallmark movie just with some great steamy moments. When Leo meets Marie, a real-life princess, he’s driving a cab in the Bronx and doing anything he can to make ends meet while taking care of his sister, Gabby. Marie isn’t a typical princess and she wants to do so much good in the world with the privilege she has, like speaking at the UN. Their lives collide in a way that is startling for them both.

I love the way their relationship unfolds and the instant attraction that you can feel between them. There is something about Leo I just really loved right from the beginning and his absolute willingness to do anything for his sister is so sweet. He bonds, unexpectedly, with Marie and it’s just what they both need. Marie is smart and self-assured, and doesn’t want to just a princess. They balance each other so well, you can’t help but root for them.

It’s definitely not a super deep book, and there are some parts that feel just a bit over the top, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I would definitely recommend it for a quick holiday read!

UM I did not have high expectations for this book but omg this was so fun and cute!  It’s very self aware in its hallmark-Eqsue tropes and traits but that makes it all the more endearing.  Leo is super hot.  I’m a sucker for a guy that’s good with kids though.  I was also expecting zero spice but the spice was spicy.  I felt like the ending dragged on a bit but it was ultimately worth it to feel like everything was wrapped up.

What to expect: older brother raising his little sister, Christmas romance, forbidden romance (princess & non-royal), slow burn

Really enjoyed this one! I love books with kids and someone who doesn't know anything about kids, it's a great combo and really worked in this one. The Hallmark Christmas vibes were perfect, as were the Hallmark movie jokes. Leo & Marie were great together!

I also read this series out of order (read #2 last year) and it was fun to see those characters in this one!

It was just okay. I actually like book 2 better (which I read first). My issue with this book is that Leo has no real personality. I felt like he wasn't developed enough. I couldn't picture him and other than rebelling against her father with a <gasp> commoner, I couldn't figure out why Marie would want to be with him other than some great orgasms. Gabby really carried this book. Maybe that's why Max is so over-the-top, to counterbalance Leo's blahness.

This book was everything I never wanted in a Christmas novel.

It was smutty as all heck. If you're a Tessa Bailey fan, you'll love this book. It's just sex and more sex and then misogyny and a bit of sexism and then more sex. Literal no substance to the plot. Hated every second of it.
