I'd say my first holiday romance novel was a success. It brought me back to the days where I would repeatedly watch The Prince & Me hoping one day I would meet a cute prince in college. Unfortunately that never happened so now I'll just resort to books to live in my fantasy.
A Princess for Christmas is about a NY taxi cab driver, Leo, and a Princess, Marie who unexpectedly meet in some would say unfortunate circumstances. Marie is trying to take the reins of her family's fortune while Leo is just trying to make ends meet. Once Marie and Leo meet, Marie hires Leo to be her chauffeur for three days. Those three days, Leo turns out to be someone Marie can rely on while Leo finds out that there is more to the Princess than meets the eye. Both knowing the lost of loved ones hurts the most during the holiday, Marie invites Leo and his sister Gabby to her country for Christmas. As Leo says, Marie introduces them to her Hallmark country and their Chirstmas traditions. There they learn more about each other and even though they know having a future together is impossible, uncontrolable feelings start to arise.
As it sounds this book is like a hallmark movie but with a little spice. It's cute, funny, and adorably charming. Each character was unique and I never got bored between each POV. I loved how the author gave Leo that NY charm (some might not call it charm but being from NY I think it is). These characters grew up in different worlds and Jenny Holiday did a good job at creating each character as such. This book kept my interest the whole entire way and it was hard for me to put it down when I had to. This is definitely a good book to choose if your looking for a holiday romance with a little bit of spice added to it.

Another holiday romance that reads like it should be a Netflix series. The lonely princess finds love with a new York cabbie. But can they be together. Works as a holiday book. 3.75/5 (I may need a holiday romance scale soon)

What do you get when you cross a princess and a cab driver? A Hallmark movie... Except not because this gets spicy!
Leo is raising his little sister after their parents die in a car accident. Marie is visiting New York to talk at the UN, she is also a princess.
She gets Leo to drive her around to her appointments after a car mishap and they become friends. But when he's invited to her home country.... They become a whole lot more!
I like that Marie wasn't a typical princess. She was a bit unsure of herself at times and Leo was always there to let her know what she really was capable of and who she was to him. I love the life he was giving his sister as they navigate it together.

CW: parental death, mention of breast cancer
I finished this book this morning and tbh for me it was just fine, I’d probably give it a 3.5
