I don't usually read mysteries but I'm glad we chose this one for book club. As I read it, I didn't understand the hype. Why is this book on every 2022 list. I'm still not completely on board but the ending and last 200 pages made me a fan.

The narrator of this book is unreliable, lovable, and doing her best to navigate life in the midst of chaos. I have to say, I couldn't predict this plot for the life of me, and it wasn't for lack of effort. A fun read.

For fans of A Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night, Columbo, and Grans.

The main character is based off a women with Autism or another disability and is being used by others to get away with crimes due to her being naive and not understanding.

Good light read (I listened to it while travelling and it’s good for that). I kind of expected more from this book. I liked the first half but then it got too wholesome and the characters became too simplistic.

too many plot holes but enjoyable read nonetheless.

the ending was a bit flat

overall, it definitely has more "substance" than the housemaid
