This was a cute football romance and I really liked this author and her writing style! Lottie is such a hardworking and incredibly smart woman who knows what she wants (sort of). I really enjoyed seeing her work through her issues that she got from a rough childhood and finally finding happiness again.
Nolan is a hardworking headed stubborn man but once he saw Lottie its like the whole hard shell exterior just melted away. He’s definitely a workaholic who needs a hobby outside of work. But watching him and Lottie grow their relationship was adorable.
I think Olivia was definitely my favorite in this book!
Closed door romance with a small amount of angst!

Our FMC has just secured her dream job as the head PT for the Chicago NFL team. Our MMC is the team quarterback, who has been struggling to recover from an injury and knowing he plans to retire this year. At first he hates the idea of her because of what she represents in his injury. But once he gives her a chance she proves she is there to help. She has spent her life to get to this point in her career, but now she feels like she has missed out. Her sister helps her to create a bucket list, and he helps check things off. But they can't be together since he is her patient.

Ally Wiegand is quickly becoming my go to author for sports romances and this is only her second book. But it feels so limiting to call it a sports romance because she writes a story that’s so much more than that. It’s a story about relationship dynamics, friendship, family, trauma, and love. It’s a story with wonderfully dynamic characters who you can’t help but love and root for. It’s a story created from really excellent writing, with passages that are poignant and beautifully written. It was such a joy to go back to Chicago and see how characters from the first book were doing while diving into the world of professional football from Ally’s lens. This book was a fun, easy read - so much so that I read it in one sitting with football on in the background. And no, I can’t tell you who won the game, I wasn’t paying attention! This book also couldn’t have come at a better time as baseball playoffs start and football season gets underway. Cannot wait for the next one!!

This is a fun, entertaining read. Nolan and Lottie are intriguing, complex, wounded, strong, relatable, interesting, entertaining characters. I enjoyed their romance ant the path it took to get to their HEA. These two are fun to spend time with. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. I love the found family aspect of the story and the role it plays. The story is easy to read and get into.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a fun, heartwarming sports romance. I thought both characters were written well and I especially liked Lottie's character. I did find myself struggling at times to stay interested at times, but I did finish it and it was good. I liked the trainer/player aspect and that they were somewhat "enemies to lovers" but I would say more dislike than enemies.
I liked the first book in the series better than this one, but will definitely read the next one when it comes out.
Thank you NetGalley and 8th Note Press for access to the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Something about an athlete in their final year is gonna do it for me every time 😭😭😭😭😭
I had such a great time reading about Lottie and Nolan, they felt like real people and had fully fleshed out character arcs. I enjoyed that they had conflicts/growth throughout the book that was separate from the relationship. I love the found family here as well, the side characters are so likable abd really enhance the entire atmosphere. Why does the San Diego curse exist even in novels though I'm dying 😭 I really can't wait to see who else gets a book in this universe!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, & the publishers who sent me this ARC to read & review! <3
