Great nostalgia, I was reminded how much I enjoyed reading the Girls series when I was younger. The ending felt a little rushed, though it was hopeful. I would’ve liked hearing more about Nadine and Magda.

MILD SPOILER AHEAD!!!
I've been a longtime fan of Jacqueline Wilson, used to read her books as a child & a teenager so I was so happy to hear that she was writing an adult novel
This book for me was pure nostalgia, I actually found myself feeling like I was a teenager again reading her books. It's just something about the way Jacqueline writes that keeps me so engrossed in the story. I enjoyed the glimpse into Ellie's life as an older adult, and her navigating love, loneliness, her career etc.
The only thing I'd say is I was really confused when Gary's name just randomly changed back to Guy towards the end of the story? Maybe it was intentional to show how Ellie sees him kind of like her teacher again and not in that romantic aspect?
All in all very easy read, thoroughly enjoyed I hope Jacqueline writes more books based on characters from previous ones
