Low rating as it’s quite slow paced! I love the characters but there’s not a lot of plot.

Did not have the heart to finish this. The over the top, self conscious feminising made me feel despondent. Haven't we moved on from women's existence being centred on looks and the male gaze? This was a huge miss for me, the writing was simplistic and I didn't want to give it more of my time. A shame as I remember her books fondly from when I was a kid.
